A WORCESTERSHIRE based technology company has announced a new corporate charity partnership with Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign.

Staff at insurance solutions provider Open GI, located in Worcester, will volunteer, as well as raise awareness and funds for the campaign, enabling them to continue to deliver their key services.

Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign was launched in 2007 by consultant breast surgeon, Steven Thrush, with the support of a small group of trustees and volunteers.

The trust has set a campaign target of £1.8 million to fund the establishment of a new, dedicated Breast Unit at Worcestershire Royal hospital for use by women and men across the county for all breast related issues.

Mr Thrush said: “Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign welcomes the opportunity to work with corporate partners such as Open GI and are delighted to have been chosen as their 2015 charity partner of the year.

“With their help and support we can continue to provide leading edge clinical facilities and equipment.”

Last year, Open GI exceeded their fundraising target for Libby Mae’s Little Angels through a number of events.

These included a summer fete, charity car wash, sporting events, cake sales and regular dress down days, raising a final sum of £19,432.05.

Chris Guillaume, Group CEO at Open GI, said: “We are proud to be supporting Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign for the second time.

“We’ve set ourselves an aspiring fundraising target for 2015, but one which I am certain we can achieve through the ongoing passion and enthusiasm of our employees, for such an important cause.”
