MIDLANDS Air Ambulance Charity will continue to be supported by a national accountancy firm after being named as the company’s chosen charity for the second successive year.

The Lye-based charity has already received more than £8,000 from staff at the Oldbury office of Crowe Clark Whitehall during the past year.

Johnathan Dudley, Midlands managing partner at Crowe Clark Whitehill, said: “Midlands Air Ambulance does wonderful work – the public rely on them to be there when most needed.

“It is a vital service which saves lives and it has grabbed the imagination of our staff.”

Based at Hawthorn House, in Dudley Road, the charity receives no Government or National Lottery funding and has to rely on public donations in excess of £6.5 million a year to keep going, with each mission costing £2,500.

Sofia Voutianitis, corporate partnerships manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We are extremely fortunate to have a great number of volunteers, fundraisers and supporters to assist us, and we are so pleased that Crowe Clark Whitehill will continue to be one of them.

“Midlands Air Ambulance Charity would not be the great success it is today without such wonderful public support, hard work and dedication.”
