A NEW commercial team with almost 100 years of experience in the finance sector has been unveiled at a Stourbridge firm of financial advisors.

Prosperity Wealth, which came runner up in the 2016 Financial Times Financial Adviser Best Life and Pensions Adviser award earlier this year, made the announcement in a bid to offer alternative ways of financing small to medium sized businesses.

The latest venture adds a new arm to the St John’s Road-based business to tap into vital funding for companies to finance a range of help from growth and building schemes to support for struggling businesses across the West Midlands.

Three people have been recruited to the team, including Chris Morgan who worked for Barclays Bank for over 30 years, as well as Steve Davies who has 28 years’ experience including with HSBC. Mike Elphick is the final recruit and brings with him 40 years’ worth of experience at Natwest Bank.

Matt Bell, firm director, said: “This is new territory for Prosperity Wealth and something we are all very excited about.

“We have chosen to invest in this area after seeing a growth in demand for companies needing help and support in attracting funding, which banks are becoming less inclined to provide. It means we are able to offer a joined up service, all under one roof.

“We have an excellent track record regionally and nationally in providing the best, independent financial advice, and the new commercial team will build on that.”
