People in Kidderminster heading to the Faithful City this summer are being invited to Woosh into Worcester in comfort with the convenient Worcestershire County Council Park and Ride service.

W1 Buses run to and from the city centre from the Perdiswell site, situated on John Comyn Drive just off the A38 Droitwich Road every 10-15 minutes from 7am until 6.45pm, Monday to Saturday.

Bargain-priced tickets, which include parking and travel, cost just £2.20. A special group travel ticket is also available. This allows the driver of a vehicle and up to six passengers to journey for a bargain price of £3.50.

So, if you're heading to Worcester to visit The Hive, hit the shops, have lunch with friends, catch the cricket at New Road or are stopping by at the city's gallery and museum to visit the Secret Egypt exhibition, why not take the stress out of the journey and hop on the park and ride?

Clouncillor John Smith, the county' Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, said: "The weather's been fantastic the last couple of weeks and everyone's hoping this will continue throughout the summer. Schools out and residents will be enjoying their well-earned breaks.

"I'm sure a lot of people will be heading into Worcester over the next few weeks and I'd like to remind everyone that the Park and Ride is great value and a convenient way of heading to and from the city centre. If you've not journeyed on the services then why not hop on board over the next few weeks?"
