Free Park and Ride for Race for Life
Worcestershire County Council is operating a free Park and Ride service for this year's Race for Life in Worcester.
The Race for Life is taking place on Sunday 24 June starting at 10am from Pitchcroft Racecourse. So whether you're walking, jogging or running, cheering on your friends and family or simply sampling the atmosphere, make sure you hop on the County Council's Woosh buses from the Perdiswell Park and Ride site.
The free Park and Ride service (R1) will be in operation from Perdiswell Park and Ride to Castle Street from 8.30am to 9.40am in time for the start of the race.
The return buses will pick up from St. Nicholas Street to Perdiswell Park and Ride site from 11.15pm to 12.45pm.
Cllr John Smith, Worcestershire County Council's Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, said: "The Race for Life in Worcester is now recognised as a major national event and it is something the people of Worcester can be very proud of.
"Taking advantage of the free Park and Ride services on offer can take the stress out of the journey and it means that people can enjoy the day that little bit more. I'd like encourage everyone to hop on to the Park and Ride if they are heading into Pitchcroft to take part or spectate. Good luck to everyone taking part in the race, I hope it's another fantastic day."
