BUILDING contractors from the West Midlands are being invited to a free event at Chateau Impney on Thursday, April 10 to find out all about work opportunities in the area.

The ‘Meet the Buyer’ session is being organised by Constructionline, a Government-owned database of contractors, and is aimed at helping small and medium-sized contractors (SMEs) to find out more about winning contracts.

Representatives will be on hand from Worcestershire County Council, Wolverhampton City Council, and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, as well as leading contractors Kier and VINCI, with discussions about how contractors can do business with them in upcoming construction projects.

Cheryl Wrench, client relationship manager, at Constructionline, said: “SME contractors are often well-placed to deliver work programmes on their doorsteps, and public sector organisations and private businesses keen to engage these smaller suppliers, but it’s not always easy for both sides to access one another.

“This event is designed to offer valuable introductions between the two parties. Local contractors will able to find out about how they can go about winning work from buyers on their doorsteps as well as learning about upcoming opportunities in the region.”

The event is running from 8.30am to 3pm at the Chateau Impney, and is open to all contractors. For more information, or to register interest, visit constructionline.co.uk/events.
