TWO pupils at Westacre Middle School in Droitwich have been pitching in to help raise money for the damaged playground equipment in Lido Park.
Year six students Megan Law and Grace Rogers organised a highly successful cake sale at the school, selling cakes to children and staff, who were glad to be part of the fundraising effort.
The two youngsters raised more than £70, which will be put toward the replacement of playground equipment, destroyed last month in an arson attack at the park.
In a concerted effort, Droitwich residents have now managed to raise more than £15,000 for the replacement of the damaged equipment.
Assistant headteacher Ben Irving said: “The girls are proud to have been part of the positive response made by the local community.”
