LANDLORDS in Droitwich are being asked to tell the local council about ways their lives could be made easier with a new survey being launched.

Wychavon District Council is launching the survey to ask landlords for information on their needs, and any possible issues the council might be able to address, as well as sharing information on their portfolios, challenges they’re facing, the kind of tenants they will accept, and their rental rates.

Sarah Cook, private rented accommodation officer at Wychavon, said: “Private rented property is in short supply in Wychavon and we need to bring more to the market so that those in need of housing can find somewhere to live quickly. This in turn would reduce the amount of people on the housing waiting list - who won’t realistically be able to access social housing because demand far outstrips supply.”

The survey, which is currently up and running on Wychavon’s website, will be open until October 3 for landlords to complete.
