STAFF and residents at Westmead Day Care are being transported down the rabbit hole for a tea party with a difference in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The home is organising an Alice in Wonderland themed Mad Hatter’s tea party for the charity fundraiser complete with large cardboard cut-outs of the characters, giant cups and saucers, tiered cake stands and bunting, as well as a visit from the mayor of Droitwich Councillor Bob Brookes.

Manager Jacqui Brown said: “The team here absolutely love to dress up so we are thrilled to be having fun and raising money for such a fantastic cause at the same time. Do come along and join us for a cuppa and cake to support our fundraising efforts.”

Anyone is welcome to come along to the tea party, and enjoy a cup of tea and something sweet while raising money to help people affected by cancer.

The tea party is running from 10.45am to 12.45pm on Friday, September 26 at the day care centre next to Westmead Care Home on Westmead Close, and visitors will be welcomed.
