THREE people had to be taken to hospital following a traffic collision between the Robin Hood pub and the Chateau Impney Hotel on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred just after 2pm on the A38 between the M5 junction 5 and Ford Lane, when a Volkswagen Golf and two Peugeots were in collision.
Two appliances from Droitwich Fire Station attended the scene which involved a minor fuel spillage, and the stretch of road was closed off by West Mercia Police.
Three ambulances were called out as well as a paramedic, area support officer, and community first responder, and although no-one suffered any serious or life-threatening injuries, three people needed to be immobilised with neck collars and spinal boards before all three were taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessments.
The A38 southbound re-opened at about 6pm, while the northbound side was re-opened at about 3.15pm.
