STAFF at a Droitwich opticians were getting pretty in pink over the weekend to help raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the team at Specsavers in Droitwich town centre got dressed up in pink on Saturday, and served their own hme-made baked treats to customers in return for donations.

Shoppers who donated also had the chance to win a prize in a tombola, which included gifts donated from local stores, such as children’s toys, gift vouchers, alcohol and computer games.

Emma Singh, store director at the Droitwich branch of Specsavers, said: “I’m so proud that we managed to raise over £200 for Breast Cancer Care, the team put a lot of effort into fundraising and we wanted to highlight the important message behind the cause. We want to thank customers who were so generous helping us raise this fantastic amount and joined in the fun on the day.”
