DESPITE attracting several interested people willing to volunteer to help out with Scouts and Guides in Droitwich, organisers are still keen to attract more help.

Representatives from 3rd Droitwich Scouts organised a meeting recently to try and attract more volunteers in the area, but they are still looking for more people who can spare a few hours over a month to help out.

Cllr Richard Morris, Chairman of Droitwich Area Young People’s Action Group said ‘I was pleased that a few people attended the meeting and were able to discuss opportunities with Scout and Guide representatives, however, I am aware that not everyone who may be able to support would have been able to attend the session and I urge them still to contact on the details below’.

Volunteers should be over the age of 18 and willing to help young people to reach their full potential, by enjoying new adventures, experiencing the outdoors, interacting with others, and gaining confidence.

Anybody who would still like to know more about helping out with scouts and guides, should write to Cllr Morris on richmoz@hotmail.com or call him on 07860 733460 and he will pass the details on.
