THIS Saturday there will be a fascinating illustrated presentation on the Gunpowder Plot as part of the AGM for the Dodderhill Parish Survey Project.
The project is holding its annual general meeting from 10am to noon at Wychbold Village Hall on Saturday, November 29, with updates on the ‘Historic Droitwich’ project, now in its second year, which is using dendochronology or tree ring dating, to find out how old one of the buildings is on Droitwich High Street.
The presentation on the Gunpowder Plot will be given by historian Jenny Townshend, and will explore the Midlands connections with the plot against King James I of England, looking at some of the families involved and how they made contact with each other.
