CHILDREN at Westacre Middle School had a chance to try out some creative Christmas crafts recently with a Dabble Day at the school.
The youngsters took part in a day of crafty festivities which let them have a go at everything from acting and sculpting, to cooking, collage, printing and lots more.
The children were invited to choose from 20 different activities they might like to try, and then had the chance to try out five of them for the day in mixed year groups, with years five, six and seven all working together with the help of several resourceful teachers at the school.
Year seven pupil Gabby Pickering, said: βIt was a fantastic day. From activity one to five, we enjoyed a variety of activities. My favourite was 'improvising Christmas' as it gave me the opportunity to act and perform. Everyone enjoyed Dabble Day and is looking forward to the next.β
