A BROMSGROVE and Studley pub have been named in a list of top pubs.

Campaign for Real Ale, CAMRA, has announced the list of more than 200 local pubs to help launch April’s community pubs month.

CAMRA volunteers of various branches were asked to judge pubs on their decor, value for money, customer service and the quality of their real ale.

The Bromsgrove and Redditch branch chose the Victoria Works in Studley, and the Holly Bush in Belbroughton.

Community pubs month is about highlighting the role pubs play in community life.

Tom Stainer, from CAMRA, said: "Each one (of the 200) has been judged the best in their respective area and are well worth seeking out for any would-be ale lovers.

“Pubs play an essential role in our communities and are clearly very highly valued, but despite this are still being lost at an alarming rate across the UK."
