HANBURY Hall is playing host to the village’s fete this Saturday with a performance from Second Chance Jazz Band as well as traditional afternoon teas, a bouncy castle, children’s train rides, displays of vintage cars, and various items on sale including jewellery, cards, homemade gifts, vintage clothes, homemade cakes and candy floss.

There will also be a barbecue, a chance to try archery and skittles, several fun stalls including a coconut shy, hook-a-duck and plate smashing, and a real ale and Pimms tent.

Hanbury Village Fete has been held at the hall since 1912, maintaining the link between the hall and the village.

Michele Dunn from the Hanbury Fete Committee, said: “We hope the variety of attractions that have been arranged will be enjoyed by everyone that attends, it’s always a really special afternoon in good old fashioned country way.”

The fete is running from 2-5pm on Saturday, June 20, with admission at £2 per adult and children entering for free. Entry also includes access to the gardens of Hanbury Hall.
