HORTON Mill Court retirement development in Droitwich is celebrating its first birthday, with an open day and a local charity showcase.

The development on Hanbury Road will be throwing open its doors on Saturday, June 27 from 10am to 12.30pm with refreshments on offer, as well as a variety of stalls, and activities raising money for local charities Mercy Ships and Worcester Talking News.

There will also be an opportunity for anyone who is interested to take a tour of the development and find out more.

Gill Sabin, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone Midlands, said: “We’re really excited to welcome visitors to Horton Mill Court and our charity showcase will be a fantastic way to celebrate its important first anniversary. All the charities showcasing were hand-picked by the homeowners and are causes close to their hearts, so it’s lovely we’re able to get them involved in our celebrations.

“It’s also a great opportunity for local retirees and their families to come and see first-hand what a happy and thriving community we have here at Horton Mill Court, and to have any questions answered that they might have. At McCarthy and Stone we are proud to help people stay independent for longer and really make the most of every minute of their retirement. That is why we are so committed to delivering an exceptional lifestyle for our residents at Horton Mill Court with a beautiful setting, fantastic food and luxuriously appointed accommodation – all with the peace of mind that care, support and friendship is close at hand.”
