MEMBERS of the Droitwich West Safer Neighbourhood Team were at Droitwich Library recently with members of Wychavon’s Citizen Advice Bureau, to give advice on how to avoid scams.

The two groups organised a drop-in session for local residents to discuss issues raised by a number of local scams operating in Droitwich at the moment.

People were invited to talk about any issues they’d encountered surrounding cyber safety, identity theft, courier fraud and phone scams, but other discussions were invited, and residents were free to raise other concerns.

There will be a follow-up session at Droitwich Library on Wednesday, July 22 from 10am, where people are welcome to raise any issues they have with local scams.

For more useful information on reducing the risks of online crime, or to report any suspicious activity, which could be a scam, visit actionfraud.police.uk or speak to the local branch of the Citizen's Advice Bureau, based at Droitwich Library.
