DROITWICH Lions Club has celebrated 30 years of their charter after founding the club in the town in 1985, branching off from the Bromsgrove club.

The Droitwich branch, which was founded by Alec Little and Jim Crawford, who had both been Lions in other areas, and since 1985 it has helped organisations, charities and individuals in and around the town.

The club celebrated the anniversary with a dinner dance at St Andrews Hotel, with Lion district governor Ian Haffner as guest of honour, presenting 30 year service charter chevrons to those members who had been club members from the very beginning.
