DROITWICH police are investigating vandalism to a canal boat.

The incident happened between 6.30pm and 7.15pm on Wednesday, July 29.

A canal boat moored on the Droitwich Barge Canal, just upstream from the railway bridge over the canal at Droitwich, was targeted and received significant damage.

Windows were broken and sugar and sauce were scattered everywhere in its interior. Another boat owner moved it to the nearby secure basin at Netherwich.

Two boys were seen running out of the boat carrying items. They are both described as white wearing long trousers and t-shirts.

One of the boys was 15-years-old, 5 foot 5 inches, with black hair, while the other was 10-years-old, with mousey hair and 4 foot tall.

Police are asking anyone with information abou the incident to come forward and contact the Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team by calling 101.
