THERE are piles of pumpkins waiting to be carved by youngster over the half-term holiday at Webbs Garden Centre.

The Wychbold garden centre has more than 1,500 pumpkins about to be delivered for a number of special hands-on pumpkin carving workshops.

Children will be able to put on an apron and scoop out their own pumpkin, before a member of staff carves them their very own Halloween face.

The workshops are running from Monday, October 26 to Saturday, October 31, with timed sessions from 1.30am to noon, from 12.30-2pm and from 2.30-4pm.

There will also be an outdoor trail for youngsters to follow through the Riverside Gardens, which will be open from Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1, as well as children’s fairground rides and face painting.

Chairman Ed Webb, said: "We have piles of pumpkins ready and waiting as the workshops are always very popular. The youngsters can’t wait to get stuck in and have something creative to show at the end of it.”

Entry to the pumpkin workshops is £5 per child and advance booking is recommended. For more information, visit webbs.co.uk.
