IT’S not often that adults get to join in with the fun for Halloween, but this year the Norbury Theatre is staging a production of the well-known John Updike novel ‘The Witches of Eastwick’ which promises to bring a little magical sparkle to the season while exploring some more adult issues.

The story, which is set in the town of Eastwick in Rhode Island, where three unusual women, Alexandra, Jane and Sukie, craft a wish for some excitement in their lives and bring into being the devilishly handsome Darryl Van Horne.

Their lives in the little town are turned upside down, in what the Norbury promises will be a ‘sultry, witty, and ever so naughty spectacle to banish the winter blues’.

The show, which is not suitable for younger audiences, is running from Wednesday, October 21 to Saturday, October 24, and from Wednesday, October 28 to Saturday, October 31. Tickets are £12 or £10 for concessions, and they can be purchased in advance from the Friar street theatre’s box office, by calling 01905 770154 or at norburytheatre.co.uk.
