Voting open in national newspaper awards with our appeal in line for top spot
VOTING is open in the prestigious Society of Editors awards and our sister paper - the Stourbridge News - is in the running for a top honour.
The News’s Well of Life appeal, which raised more than £12,000 to provide fresh water for the poverty-stricken Gambian village of Sintet, is on the shortlist in the Making a Difference category.
Readers can find out more and vote for the appeal here, voting is only open for a limited time before the awards ceremony on Friday to mark Local Newspaper Week.
