CREATIVE children in Droitwich are being invited to show off their talent at their local Hobbycraft store.

A craft talent competition has been launched by the store, based at Webbs in Wychbold in Worcester Road, to keep children occupied during the summer holiday.

The competition is inviting talented youngsters to make whatever they want, in any medium they like. These could include paintings, cakes or sculptures.

Designs need to be submitted by Friday, August 19. Once entered, staff at the store will vote for their favourites.

The chosen winners receive a craft hamper, while the winners of the six entries nationally will be invited to join a special kids panel testing and giving their verdict on Hobbycraft's products.

As well as the talent show Hobbycraft Droitwich is also launching 100 Summer Makes - sessions for families in the summer holidays.

The art sessions include fun with plasticine and paper mache.
