DROITWICH Concert Club's latest season will end on Saturday, March 24 with a performance from a top string quartet.

The event will be held at 7.30pm at Droitwich Methodist Church, Worcester Road, and will bring an end to the club’s 39th season.

The concert will be given by one of the best known British string quartets, the Allegri Quartet. They are making a welcome return to Droitwich after an astonishing interval of 38 years, during which time changes of personnel have not affected their distinguished tradition. They will play works by Beethoven and Shostakovich ending with Borodin's much loved second quartet which contains the famous Nocturne later adapted for the musical Kismet.

Tickets are available by calling 01905 779736 or at the door on the night.
