A GROUP that knits gowns and cribs for premature babies is looking for volunteers.
PreemiesUK, which was set up in Droitwich by founder Shelley Mitchell, wants sewers to come forward and for people to donate materials.
She said: “We are a group of volunteers who knit and crochet for premature babies and babies that are born too soon.
“We currently send parcels to 140 hospitals throughout the UK that have neonatal units or special care units.”
The group needs knitting wool, ribbon, buttons, toy fillings and unwanted wedding and bridesmaid dresses.
Anyone who can help should email PreemiesUK@yahoo.co.uk or send items to PreemiesUK, 138 Farmers Green, Droitwich, WR9 9EH.
