YOUNGSTERS from a Bromsgrove school have been on a time-travelling adventure.

Year two pupils from Bromsgrove Pre-Preparatory and Nursery School, in Hanbury Road, were transported back in time to the dark days of the Second World War.

Youngsters, dressed in clothing from the period, took part in a number of wartime-themed activities.

These included joining the Home Guard, using an air-raid siren and stirrup pump, and an attempt to crack wartime codes.

The children also handled genuine artefacts, and took part in a march.
