TARDEBIGGE Court is holding its first ever Santa’s Grotto this year, to raise money for Hope and Kindness, a local children’s charity helping young people in Kenya.

The grotto is setting up for the day as part of Tardebigge Court’s Christmas Fair on Thursday, November 29.

Children will have the chance to visit Santa and receive a gift for £4 with money going to the charity.

There will also be stalls laid out selling everything from mince pies and mulled wine, to handmade gifts and old fashioned sweets, and the whole of Tardebigge Court will be decked out in fairy lights.

There will also be carolling and all the shops in the court will be open for business.

Hope and Kindness was set up by an Astwood Bank family, the Motts, who spent a year in Kosele in rural Kenya, where they started a children’s home and school in 2002.

The project has been running for the past nine years, and costs £3,500 per month to run, so all donations are welcomed.
