Jaguar stolen in Rednal car key burglary

A £42,000 Jaguar was stolen in a car key burglary in Rednal.

The incident happened in Old Birmingham Road at 11am yesterday, February 6.

Four men arrived at the property in a blue Volkswagen Golf, registration number DS06 PEO. Three of the offenders went through a side gate, to the back of the house, while the fourth stayed in the vehicle on the drive.

The men then smashed the glass in a conservatory door and took the spare keys to a Jaguar XF car.

They left and stole the red Jaguar, registration number OV62 LZA, off the drive.

During the burglary two Apple MacBook Pro laptops worth £1,000, were also taken.

Two of the men were black and the other two men were white.

Detective Constable Vicky Collier said: "We believe the Golf had been spotted in Barnt Green about half an hour earlier, with the two white men in the front and the two black men in the rear.

"After taking the Jaguar, the three who had carried out the burglary drove off in that vehicle, followed by the one driving the Golf, in the direction of Rose Hill.”

DC Collier added that they would like to hear from anyone who saw the four men in the Golf, prior to the burglary, or anyone who saw the two vehicles travelling in convoy afterwards.

Anyone with information is asked to call DC Collier on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident 218-s-060212, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
