Four people arrested on suspicion of Rubery burglary

FOUR people have been arrested by Rubery police investigating a burglary in the village.

In the early hours of February 6, the occupants of a house in Monument Lane contacted police after being woken by noises.

It is believed the offenders fled empty handed after being disturbed.

A man was arrested in Monument Lane, and a further man and two youths were arrested in Barnt Green on suspicion of burglary a short time later.

All four have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Detective Sergeant Ed Slough said: “The police presence in this area was increased as a result of burglaries and vehicle crime.

“Following the report of the burglary in Monument Lane, there were four speedy arrests.”
