Prayer collecting in Bromsgrove High Street

MEMBERS of Bromsgrove churches will be in Bromsgrove High Street tomorrow morning, February 13.

The Bishop of Dudley, David Walker, Archdeacon of Dudley, Fred Trethewey, and other clergy and lay people will be out in High Street between 9.45-10.45am.

They will be approaching members of the public to ask them for their prayer requests, which will be written on prayer cards to be prayed for later at Ash Wednesday services.

Bishop David said: “We know that people really appreciate somebody offering to say a prayer for them.

“In the past we have collected more than 120 prayer requests in two hours in one location.

“We’ll be collecting prayers for whatever concerns the people we meet, and we believe that prayer can make a real difference.”
