Charity fun day at garden centre

LITTLEHEATH Garden Centre in Lickey End is supporting Re Leaf Day 2013 with a competition to plant a garden in a tray, and a visit from the Plant Doctor.

The day is raising money for children’s charity Greenfingers, which helps children in hospices by letting them and their families spend time away from the bedside in green environments.

Young gardeners will be able to spend the day on Saturday, March 9, taking part in the Garden in a Tray competition, which is due to be judged by Councillor Jan Boswell from Bromsgrove District Council, while older gardeners can bring along their poorly plants, or photos of them, and receive some helpful advice from an expert.

There will also be a raffle with plants as prizes.
