TICKETS are still available for a production being performed by a Sidemoor group.

Newsong Community Arts, based at Newsong Community Church, in Broad Street, is performing Annie the Musical next week.

In the role of Daddy Warbucks is Bromsgrove town cryer Kevin Ward. Mr Ward decided to fully get into the role by having his head shaved at Ellie’s Salon, and has been sponsored to do so to raise money for Bromsgrove street pastors.

The production tells the classic heart-warming rags to riches story, and features popular songs including Tomorrow, Hard Knock Life and Fully Dressed.

Group spokesman Maggie Bichton said: “There is a large, local, talented cast, including two teams of children and young people who are playing the orphans with enthusiasm, commitment and energy.”

The show runs for five nights between Tuesday, March 19, and Saturday, March 23, but the Friday and Saturday shows have already sold out.
