BROMSGROVE residents are being given the chance to support a charity at the town branch of a building society.
Staff at the West Bromwich Building Society, in High Street, were asked to nominate three worthy causes to receive a share of a £1,000 charity donation as part of the Community Counts campaign.
Primrose Hospice, Breathe East and Bromsgrove and Home-Start North East Worcestershire were the three charities shortlisted by staff, and are all to receive £250 each.
People are now being asked to vote for one of the three causes, to receive an additional £250 donation from the society.
Tokens are available from the branch’s counter, and all customers have to do is drop the token into the charity box of their choice.
West Bromwich’s branch manager Steve Perry said: “We are a mutual organisation, which means our members have a voice in how their society is run.
"Through the campaign, they also have a say in the way we direct our support for local charities.”
