BROMSGROVE residents can find out more about the sports and recreation activities available in their area at an event being held this month.
The annual High 5 event brings together local sports clubs, public services, youth services and other organisations to showcase what they have to offer.
Organised by Bromsgrove District Council’s sports development team, this year the event takes place at Sanders Park, Kidderminster Road, on Sunday, September 22, from noon until 4.30pm.
The event features free performances, taster sessions, and activities from sports clubs and organisations as well as a dedicated disability and inclusive section.
Visitors to the High 5 event will also be able to wander around health and wellbeing and community safety areas of the park, and watch the final instalment of the bandstand programme.
Councillor Michael Webb, responsible for leisure and cultural services, said: “The High 5 events are always great because they provide something for everyone and this year will be no different.
“Residents of all ages will benefit from the activities, advice and information on offer, whether this is for sport, health and wellbeing or community safety.”
