TOWNSFOLK are being encouraged to step out on an educational walk providing the opportunity to learn more about Bromsgrove’s history.

Worcestershire County Council is inviting residents to take part in the latest Walkpast tour, being held this Sunday, September 15, from 2pm until 5pm.

The popular history and archaeology tour runs for three miles through Bromsgrove town centre, and will provide the opportunity to find out more about the area from an archaeological and historical viewpoint.

Archaeologist Adam Mindykowski said: "Bromsgrove has a fascinating history, and on this walk we hope to point out what the archaeology tells us about the history of the town."

The Walkpast series has proved popular, running for the last 25 years in various county locations.

Tickets for the tour cost £6, but places are limited and booking is essential.
