The rock and metal circus is coming to town
9:50am Tuesday 10th September 2013 in Local
Bromsgrove music fans will be excited to learn the town is receiving a visit from The Rock and Metal Circus later this month, a family-friendly event, featuring a mixture of new bands and old favourites including Sacred Mother Tongue, Breed 77, Headrush, and Skarlett Riot in a weekend-long show.
Sam Hill of organisers RoarRock, said: “The few metal festivals we do have are dominated by major corporates. People can’t always afford those ticket prices.
“We’re doing this for three reasons: because we love what we do, because our brothers and sisters need a place to show people how they rock and because we want all rock and metal lovers to have a chance to share the experience – not just the few with deep pockets.
“This is a festival for the fans and the bands, a showcase for the UK’s newest and upcoming acts as well as some we’ve loved for years. There’ll be no VIP tickets, no mass media camps. Everyone’s equal.”
The Rock and Metal Circus runs from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22 at the Stoke Prior Sports and Leisure Club. Tickets are £32.50 a head for the whole weekend, including onsite camping and caravan hook-up with clean showers, bar areas, food served all day and a range of activities.
