Work to replace a bridge in Bromsgrove park underway
12:40pm Wednesday 11th September 2013 in Local
USERS of a popular Bromsgrove park are being asked to be patient while important work to replace a bridge is carried out.
Work has started on the bridge at Factory Lane, which is used by residents making their way to and from Sanders Park, Kidderminster Road.
While work is underway a temporary pedestrian bridge has been put in place as an alternative. However, this bridge leads onto grassed areas so is unsuitable for wheelchairs, scooters and possibly pushchairs.
Bromsgrove District Council officers have put up notices to keep customers informed about the work, which is set to take up to three weeks.
Councillor Michael Webb, whose portfolio covers environment, said: “These works need to be carried out and we are sorry for any short term inconvenience that this causes.”
