Cash stolen and damage caused in Rubery pub burglary

AN investigation has been launched by police into a burglary at a Rubery pub in which money was stolen.
The incident happened at the New Rose and Crown, in New Road, between 11.40pm on Thursday, September 5, and 7.40am on Friday, September 6.
Police say the incident could have possibly taken place at around 3.30am.
The rear fire doors were forced, causing £250 worth of damage, and the pool table and juke box were damaged to remove the cash boxes. A gaming machine was tipped on its back and smashed open.
A total of around £445 in cash was stolen from the machines.
A till was damaged and £10 stolen from it, while eight bottles of spirits, worth £400, were stolen from behind the bar and four bottles of cider worth about £14 from a fridge.
A CCTV recorder was also stolen.
