Police appeal for witnesses to street robbery in Bromsgrove
7:00am Tuesday 17th September 2013 in Local
BROMSGROVE police are appealing for the public’s help to identify two men who robbed another man in the street in the town.
The victim, who is in his 30s, was near the Hop Pole pub in Birmingham Road at about 5.45pm on Friday, September 13, when he was approached by two men.
One took his mobile phone, a white and silver iPhone 5, out of his hand and the other stole his wallet, containing bank cards, after reaching into one of his trouser pockets.
Both robbers then ran from the scene and got into an old silver Seat, driven by a female, which made off in the direction of the town centre.
One of the offenders is white, around 19-years-old, five feet five inches, with a large build.
He wore a black and grey baseball cap with a white peak, a black and grey Adidas hooded top which was zipped up at the front, dark jeans and white trainers.
The other man was also white but appeared to be in his late 40s, about five feet seven inches, and of average build. He was wearing a black sheepskin-style coat, navy blue jeans, and gold and black trainers. He also had tattoos on his hands.
Detective Constable Clare Smith said: “No-one was hurt during this incident but all robberies are taken seriously by us.
“We have good descriptions of the offenders and this happened in daylight so they may have been seen either before of after the offence.”
Anyone with information can reach officers at North Worcestershire CID on non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
