Putting a pot of coffee on in the name of charity
5:50pm Monday 23rd September 2013 in Local
GENEROUS staff at a dental practice in Bromsgrove will be putting a pot of coffee on in the name of charity on Friday.
Macmillan Cancer Support is calling for people to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this Friday, September 27, to raise funds to improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
Among those taking part will be College Road Dental Practice which will be serving hot drinks and cakes from 9am to noon.
Staff from the practice will also be raising cash and awareness to combat all head and neck cancers when they take part in the Mouth Cancer 10km Awareness Walk on September 29 in London’s Hyde park.
Dentist Martina Fell, from the practice, said: “We’re all looking forward to the walk but we are not very fit so it might be a struggle.
“The aim though is let people know that oral cancer is actually increasing in incidence where many other cancers are getting less common.”
