RUBERY youngsters sampled some continental delights as part of European languages day.
On Thursday, (September 26), year two and three pupils from Holywell Primary and Nursery School, in School Road, enjoyed French chocolates, croissants and other assorted breads, donated by the village’s Co-op store.
The children also enjoyed a range of language activities, learning about French life and culture, and listening to the country’s pop music.
The school’s languages co-ordinator, Rachel Moss, said: “The day was enjoyed by all and has heightened the children’s enthusiasm for language learning.”
