A COUPLE from Rubery celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 26, spending the weekend marking the occasion with family.
Arthur and Kathleen Harris first met and spoke to one another outside the Lickey End post office in 1947, where Kathleen used to work for the postmistress Mrs Tilt.
The couple were married six years later in 1953 at All Saints Church in Bromsgrove, and they have three children Yvonne, Dawn and Nigel, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, with a fifth due in February.
