4:00pm Wednesday 2nd October 2013 in Local
FOUR community groups in Bromsgrove have been shortlisted for a grant of £3,000 from the Lloyds Banking Group.
The Lucy Faithful Foundation, Colebridge Young People’s Club, Bromsgrove Rugby Club Under 11s and the Primrose Hospice, have all been shortlisted, with two of them set to receive an award of £3,000 and the other two awards of £300 each.
The bank is running a national Community fund with more than 1,300 local organisations shortlisted for grants across England and Wales.
Graham Lindsay, group director for responsible business at Lloyds Banking Group, said: "As the Bank of Scotland Community Fund public vote opens for a second year, we are looking forward to showcasing the fantastic work being delivered by an enormous range of local good causes in communities across the country and encouraging everyone to get behind their local community groups by casting their votes. Congratulations to every community group on the shortlist and good luck."
The awards are being decided by a public vote, which runs until midnight on Friday, November 1. For more information on any of the groups involved, or to vote in the scheme, visit lloydsbank.com/communityfund.
