12:30pm Thursday 3rd October 2013 in Local
WEST Midlands MEP Nikki Sinclaire held a question and answer session with youngsters from a Bromsgrove school.
The We Demand a Referendum Now MEP spoke to year 12 students at Bromsgrove School on refendums and her role as a member of the European Parliament on September 30.
During her visit to the Worcester Road-based school the MEP also took questions about various aspects of her work including on human rights, and debated with youngsters the reasons why Britain should leave the EU.
The MEP said: “It was a great afternoon speaking with the students at the school.
“Opinion polls often show that young people tend to choose 'don't know' when it comes to the idea of having an EU referendum, so I'm hoping to inspire some debate on that topic."
