Bromsgrove mum takes on charity parachute challenge
8:40am Thursday 10th October 2013 in Local
A MOTHER of two from Bromsgrove has completed a tandem parachute jump to raise money for charity.
Kim Lennard took on the challenge to raise money for St Mary’s Hospice in Selly Oak where she works as a bereavement counsellor.
Ms Lennard jumped from 12,000 feet, and was in free fall for approximately 45 seconds.
She said: “Once the parachute was open my instructor allowed me to take control of the parachute for a while. It was an awesome experience and I am so pleased to have raised money for a local hospice.”
So far Ms Lennard has raised £450 for the charity, but she’s hoping to raise even more. To donate, visit justgiving.com/Kim-Lennard1 or to find out more about St Mary’s Hospice, visit birminghamhospice.org.uk.
