A SPECIAL service of rededication has been held at a Rubery funeral home.
The Co-operative Funeralcare in Rubery recently received a major refurbishment including an arranging room, where families can discuss their requirements, and a chapel of rest where last respects can be paid to loved ones.
Reverend Richard Tebbs, Reverend Melusi Sibanda, Reverend Mary Shannahan, Reverend Paul Clarke, Deacon John Woodhead, Reverend Colin Corke and Angela Mason OBE JP were invited in to bless the New Road premises.
The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Mike Leddy, also attended the service and unveiled a plaque.
Ian Shingler, funeral director, said: "We are all delighted with the result of the refurbishment which we feel reflects our commitment to providing excellent standards of care for our families during their time of bereavement.
"We would like to thank the clergy and officiants for leading the rededication service.”
