MUSIC fans are in for a treat when Regular 60s Night Out stars Ivy League join Paper Lace on stage at the Artrix.
Formed in 1969 in the city of Nottingham, Paper Lace got their big break in 1974, when after winning the nationwide talent show Opportunity Knocks, they were spotted by the songwriting team of Mitch Murray and Peter Callander.
Their first single Billy – Don’t Be A Hero topped the UK charts for three weeks in 1974 and this was followed by other chart successes in the UK and USA.
Well known for their close harmonies, Ivy League learned their trade in the sixties clubs and have established a reputation for being one of the best bands on the 60s circuit.
The show, on November 1, will feature hit records including Billy Don’t Be A Hero, The Night Chicago Died, Tossing and Turning and Funny How Love Can Be.
Tickets are available at £20 from the box office on 01527 577330 or online at artrix.co.uk.
