Kickboxing skills raise £1,000 for charity

KICKBOXERS from Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove used their skills to raise £1,000 for charity.

Members of Verve Martial Arts, which has clubs in Sherwood Road, Bromsgrove, and Droitwich's George Bayliss Road, took on a kick-a-thon challenge on Sunday, December 1.

The event was in aid of Diabetes UK and diabetes research charity JDRF. In two hours of kicking, the team managed a massive 112,850 kicks raising more than £1,000 for charity. Club instructor Carl Trevitt said: “I am overwhelmed with the support from not only the students but also friends and family that’s helped on the day and raised so much for a great cause."
