BROMSGROVE'S MP Sajid Javid met the Queen when she visited parliament.
Her Majesty visited the Palace of Westminster on Friday, December 6 to view a recently installed stained glass window, paid for personally by MPs and members of the House of Lords, that commemorates her diamond jubilee.
The town's MP was among a small group presented to the Queen in Westminster Hall on the day.
He said: "It was a great honour to meet the Queen. She seemed really pleased with the window and was extremely charming. I took the opportunity to tell her that my constituents were very proud that the Bromsgrove Guild had made the main gates to Buckingham Palace."
